Notice to Our Valued Customers

The Town has recently undergone staffing reductions, which are expected to impact workflow and may result in delays in service. As a result, there may also be unanticipated office closures and longer than normal wait times going forward. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate these changes. We remain committed to serving the community to the best of our ability with the resources available. Thank you for your continued support.

EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2025

Town Hall office hours will be reduced to Monday through Wednesday 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm. This change is necessary to accommodate current workload demands and to support the completion of utility consolidation efforts.

Attention Utility Customers

The Town of Cathlamet’s water and sewer utilities are now under the operations and ownership of Wahkiakum PUD. Utility customers will be transferred to the PUD in the coming months. Wahkiakum PUD is expected to mail informational postcards in August regarding the upcoming utility billing transition. These postcards will include details about any rates changes, autopay options, instructions for setting up a new account (if needed), landlord/tenant information, etc. In the meantime, the following timeline has been confirmed:

August 6 – The Town will issue its final utility billing for July usage. Payments for this billing will be due by September 5th and payable to the Town.

Mid to Late August – Wahkiakum PUD will conduct a partial meter read in preparation for its 1st billing cycle.

September – PUD will assume full responsibility for all utility billing services, including late fees, shutoffs, and collections, beginning with statements dated August 30.

Through September 30 – The Town will continue to accept payments for the August 6th billing and any outstanding balances from prior periods.
