Pursuant to RCW 60.80.020, it is the Seller's duty to inform closing agent of the names and addresses of all utilities providing service to the property being sold.
To satisfy the requirements under this RCW a valid meter reading may be required to close an account and receive a final closing bill. The customer, agent, or Town staff may supply a meter reading. If there isn’t a meter reading supplied with the closing bill request, Town staff will read the meter and will charge a fee for a closing bill meter read to the Seller’s account.
