Business licenses must be obtained before conducting business within the town limits of Cathlamet.
The cost of the license varies from $25.00 to $75.00 per year based on the annual gross profits of the business.
Out-of-town businesses must pay $75.00 regardless of income.
Each dog within Town limits must be licensed annually. The cost is $3.00 a year.
The Town contracts with Wahkiakum County to provide building permits.
There is an administrative fee of $20 and building permit fees are calculated based on the total valuation fee.
HYDRANT USE PERMIT
Any mobile unit or apparatus, which uses the water from any premises within the town’s water system, shall first obtain a permit.
Persons or organizations that wish to conduct a special event that affects the customary and ordinary use of public streets, rights-of-way, sidewalks and publicly owned property, i.e., parks, must first obtain a right-of-way permit.
Conditional property uses, because of public convenience and necessity and their effect upon the neighborhood, shall be permitted only upon the approval of the planning commission, after due notice and public hearing, and a finding that they will not be detrimental to the general comprehensive plan or to adjacent and surrounding property.
