NEW OFFICE HOURS AT TOWN HALL!

PUBLIC NOTICE!

ORDINANCE 635-20: RELATING TO TOWN HALL OFFICE HOURS

Effective November 2, 2020, Town Hall will have new office hours


OUR NEW OFFICE HOURS

Monday through Thursday:

8:30 AM to 12:30 PM & 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM

(closed from 12:30 to 1:00 PM for lunch)

We will remain closed to the public on Fridays

If you have any emergencies or require our assistance,

we will be available by phone until 1:30 PM on Fridays.


Why did we change our hours?

Our hope is that this change to our hours will provide the public with a more consistent schedule. Many customers show up on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons not expecting our office to be closed at noon for the rest of the day. This afternoon foot traffic was far more than the total number of visitors on Fridays, which is why we will now be closed on Fridays instead of Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.


Why do you need to be closed on Fridays, or at all?

We only have two Town Hall staff members that work in our office and are responsible for all our operations. Being closed on Fridays will provide us with some uninterrupted time to complete our many other non-customer service-related tasks, as well as allow us to process confidential patient information for ambulance transports, while ensuring we remain in full compliance with HIPAA Privacy Laws. We understand this change may take some time to adjust to and if you have an emergency or require our assistance, we will be available by phone until 1:30 PM on Fridays.


Why is this new schedule preferred?

· Our new schedule extends our public access hours to 30-hours a week. (Previously 25-hours)

· We will be open 30-minutes earlier than we used to be, now at 8:30 AM. (Previously 9 AM)

· We will only be closed for lunch for 30-min, from 12:30 to 1:00 PM. (Previously Noon to 1:00 PM)


When will the office actually be open to the public again?

Town staff are working hard to ensure we have met all of the requirements to reopen our offices safely amid COVID-19. Our plan is to reopen to the public, under this new schedule, beginning Monday, November 2nd.

We thank you for your support with our new schedule and complying with any and all requirements that may be in place for public health and safety amid COVID-19.
