Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: No education is required. Valid driver’s license required.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: May works in extreme weather conditions during hot summer months; Moderate potential exposure to insect bites, poison ivy, chemical irritants produced by solvents, and vibrations, loud noises, offensive smells, dust, dirt and water; Physical exertion such as long periods of standing, and recurring bending, crouching, stooping and reaching, climbing steps or ladders, and occasional lifting of moderately heavy items.

Salary & Schedule

SALARY & BENEFITS:
  • Salary: Pay Class 1A – $17.51 – $19.82                   
  • PTO: 1 hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked per week

Responsibilities

SUMMARY: This is a seasonal, part-time position working up to 20 hours per week, not to exceed 45 hours per month. This position is expected to work with the public in support of community recreational activities. Works under the supervision of the Public Works Superintendent. This position is not expected to need close supervision or detailed instructions for tasks needed to maintain a pleasant, attractive, inviting, and useful environment at the Town’s parks and recreational facilities. Schedule: Flexible, up to 20hr/week July through Labor Day weekend.
 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support for Town recreational activities at any Town facility, including but not limited to Erickson, Queen Sally, Waterfront, and Strong Parks. Support activities may include:
  • Recreational Tournaments.
  • Issuing appropriate equipment.
  • Litter removal.
  • Assist in maintaining recreational facilities as assigned.
  • Maintaining an inventory of Town recreational property, ie. nets; paddles; goals; furniture; corn hole boards and bags.
  • Other duties as assigned.
